So our 10 day appeal period is officially over, but the birth certificate office is closed on Mondays :( Irina is coming on train tonight and then we have a full day tomorrow! We have to drop off all info to get new birth certificate made first thing and then apply for passport which allows Kody to travel within Ukraine and also apply for a separate passport to allow him to leave Ukraine, pick up our official court decree, plus a whole bunch of other things that I can't remember. One of the documents we need we have to pick up in a town 2 hours from here and Irina really wants to get that done tomorrow if at all possible so she told me this morning that we probably won't be back to Kryvyi Rih in time to pick up the documents we need to get Kody out of orphanage yet tomorrow eve. :(( That's terribly disappointing to me, but what is one night in the grand scheme of things eh?! :)
The owner of this apartment called and said he was coming down for a couple days and wants to stay with us, so had the apartment all cleaned except for washing the floors when Olga calls and said that Yuri will be here at 11 in the morning to clean because Ed Dickson is coming. I tried to explain to her that I had just cleaned it, but couldn't get it across so decided he could come and clean and at least I wouldn't have to wash the floors tonight :) Too bad we won't be home for the entertainment HA Should be very interesting to have Ed here. Sounds like a nice guy on the phone. Never quite sure what to make for food when Irina comes, but beings Ed is from Canada shouldn't have to worry about him liking it! Will be enjoyable to have some other English speaking people around for awhile again!!
My banana bread is out of oven now so should get to bed so I can be up and presentable when Irina gets here shortly after 6 in the morning. Who knows, this might be the last night I can sleep all night for awhile! :) What an exciting thought to think this may be our last night as a family of 3!
